Why ICF?
ICF’s (Insulated Concrete Forms) consist of 2 EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) panels that are 2 5/8" thick on each side and connected together with a web system. The ICF forms come in interior widths from 4 - 12 inches and are stay-in-place forms which then are stacked, reinforced with steel re-bar, and then filled with concrete. This monolithic concrete wall provides a structure that has a true R-Value of R-23 but will perform as high as a R-30 through R-50 due to the thermal mass of the concrete.
